Natural Beauty Box Review | December 2017
...a wonderful treat waiting on my doorstep when I arrived home for the Christmas break - the December edition of the Natural Beauty Box!
I have to say, Emma gets it right every time with her box styling, She really knows how to put together a theme and because this box is the 'Dreaming of a White Christmas' edition, it's filled with a beautiful selection of white shimmers, iridescence and pearly tones - the perfect way to close 2017 and compliment all things festive!
I say it every time because for me it's so true, but beauty boxes are such a fantastic way of introducing new brands and products to your life (and friends and family too, in my case especially my mum who is always intrigued with the latest products I have discovered!). If you are thinking of making a switch in 2018 to more conscious beauty and skincare choices, then now is a perfect time to start researching new products. I remember for myself it was around this time last year I began planning my move toward a more natural and cruelty free lifestyle and beauty boxes like these are such a perfect way to get the ball rolling.
I find it's also much like Christmas itself, opening and unwrapping the products and not knowing what's inside (if you manage to steer clear of any spoilers!). If anything is like opening presents, then surely you can't go wrong with that!
So, let me show you the sheer (no pun intended, or was it) gorgeous-ness that is my last beauty box of 2017 containing some really special brands like Bella-Pierre, Nailberry, Raw-ganic, The Konjac Sponge and Olofson Skincare. Enjoy!
Bella-Pierre Mineral Shimmer Powder
A first! I LOVE mineral makeup, and have had my eye on Bella-Pierre for some time now and still haven't managed to get round to trying any of their products!
But it's all okay because in this months box is this gorgeous 'Snowflake' shimmer powder. It is so, so, so delicate and fine and I cannot wait to try. Yay!
Another first! I am a huge fan of non-toxic nail polishes because as soon as you open it, you don't feel like you're going to choke to death, which for me (well, and anyone really) is a good thing.
You know a nail polish is posh when it's called 'nail lacquer', and this is a posh one! A gorgeous glossy, pearly coat with an iridescent finish - and also contains a unique breathable formula.
Another first! Annoyingly, my skin type is very sensitive and I have gone through many different brands of face wipes and find it difficult to settle on just one which does the trick for the long term.
I haven't tried organic face wipes yet - so I have only myself to blame for not finding a routine I can stick with! I am looking forward to trying these, as wipes are so convenient at any time (and pomegranate is known for it's skin rejuvenating and anti-aging qualities too!)
Olofson Skincare Daily Moisture
Another first! A completely new brand for me which is brilliant timing too as I have finished up all my face creams and am on the hunt for a new one.
This light consistency contains Safflower and Rosehip and I've made no secret in the past about my love for the natural calming qualities of Rosehip, especially for my skin type!
The Konjac Sponge
Facial Cleansing Sponge
A established favourite. I have also made it no secret that I absolutely adore the Konjac Sponge and think it's a fantastic cleansing sponge.
I find it difficult to describe the softness of the sponge itself because it's that soft, so you would have to try it and see.
It's completely natural and bio-degradeable and for me it's reduced my need for anything else as the results are incredible and I have even had lots of compliments about my complexion recently and I think it's all thanks to this little gem.
