The Pip Box | April

Shortly into my cruelty free transition I came across the wonder that is The Pip Box, a monthly subscription box to all cruelty free (and vegan) beauty products. It introduced me to some fab brands and is in fact where my obsession with Saturated Colour began!

Firstly, everything is packaged up so carefully and you can tell a lot of love goes into this box. You can choose between a monthly beauty box which you can subscribe to, or you can order a one off box (which is what I did on this occasion). They also now offer a complete vegan box too!

I've been following The Pip Box and I can see they are getting so much love and support which is so fantastic and makes me realise there are more of us out there than you realise who want to choose beauty products consciously. Once again, subscription boxes like these are a great way of introducing not only yourself, but others to new products you may not have necessarily heard of or had experience with before.

So, what was inside April's Pip Box?

  • I am new to essential oils and am slowly understanding how useful they are! This one is in a really handy rollerball and you just apply to your pulse points as and when required. Perfect for Monday's, right? The scent is quite addictive and not at all overpowering.

  • Another essential oil in the form of body oil this time, which can be used in bath water and directly on the skin to lock in moisture. Lavender is perfect for calming and soothing and this smells absolutely beautiful. It makes a change to treat your skin with the softness and subtlety of an oil,  and formulated with love and care right here in the UK too - just beautiful!

  • Now, I am going to be totally honest about this one. For my hair, this was no good at all. I appreciate clarifying shampoos are wonderful for cleansing the hair but because I have quite thick hair that is prone to frizz I require a shampoo (and conditioner!) which leaves the hair soft and manageable. The consistency of this shampoo is really watery too so it kind of just dripped off of my hands - no good for me I am afraid!

  • My absolute favourite lipstick EVER. This shade is 'Naked Pink' and came as a bonus item and I am so glad it did. The consistency is really moisturising and it doesn't affect the strength of the colour (I find sometimes when lipsticks are quite moisturising they tend to be watery or thin) - not the case with this one, and I love, love, love it.

If you want to know more, head over to their website and social media pages and show them some love - what will you pick?  |  |
