The Pip Box Review - May
A monthly subscription box I can rely on to contain some special beauty and skincare gems, always packaged up so carefully and delicately - you can tell a lot of love goes into each box. Thanks to The Pip Box, I have been introduced to some fantastic brands (like Bloomtown Botanicals) and May's Spring edition was full of even more completely new products I've had yet to discover.
I stand firm in my opinion that boxes like these are such a fantastic way to broaden not only your beauty horizons, but friends and family too as I've found they make a fab gift for loved ones (who will love you even more after that!). The products inside are never based on one type of product, there's always a variety for hair, skin, nails, makeup - you name it. That way, you're always kept guessing what could be inside and never, ever get bored.
Without this month's box, I wouldn't have known the brands and products below existed and that's why I I am really excited to show you what May's box contained:
bloomtown botanicals Infused Oil
I feel like this beautiful bunch need no introduction, but I will introduce them anyway as one of my favourite brands. This is the Rose Garden oil infused rollerball and it smells like nothing I've come across before. It's absolutely wonderfully, scented with a romantic, floral scent of Rose and White Floral's and is the perfect palm-oil-free-pulse-point-pick-me-up!
This is a brand I've never come across before which of course I am delighted about. This semi-matte liquid lip colour shade is Sugar Dumpling and it's a really intense, highly pigmented colour so it's just perfect for a dramatic look. It's long lasting with a really beautiful texture and flakes off rather than needing to rub at your lips. It's even got a fantastic angle shaped brush which makes application so easy, reaching the outer edge of your lips perfectly. The beauty scene is changing so much and I think we are well on our way to saying goodbye to lipstick stains on our teeth with the likes of products like this!
Conscious Skincare shampoo & conditioner
Finally, a natural shampoo and conditioner I think I can get on board with. My hair requires a lot of work and is quite hard to maintain and I prefer shampoo's and conditioner's to have a thicker consistency as I've come across so many watery ones which have zero effect. Conscious Skincare are completely new to me and these two contain all natural ingredients designed specifically with healthy hair in mind, containing pro-vitamins and all round natural goodness with citrus essential oils like Grapefruit and lemon. Suitable for all hair types (including itchy scalps!) and the bottles are 100% recyclable too!
MoYou London Nail Art Stamping Kit
1. Choose your nail polish colour and paint it over your template choice
2 Use the scraper and scrape it over the template you've chosen (the scraper will remove the excess nail colour over the template and flatten it so it's filled the template grooves)
3. Use the rubber stamper to print the design onto the rubber tip of the stamp
4. Stamp the design over your nail using a rolling motion to mimic the shape of your nail and ensure it covers the entire nail.
